Annual Flow & Function Test
Every self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) requires annual service and certification. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard 1852 requires that SCBAs be flow/function tested annually using the Posichek3 SCBA tester. There is no other NFPA approved SCBA flow test device for this annual flow testing. The Posicheck3 evaluates the operational fitness of the SCBA through dynamic tests as well as functional checks against performance criteria set down by NIOSH and the NFPA. Flow-testing quantitatively determines whether the current performance of a SCBA meets NIOSH and NFPA requirements.
All OEMs require an annual service on all SCBAs and IPAPRs. This requires a certified OEM technician.

KD Analytical Annual SCBA Service
KD Analytical can provide annual service, repair, and flow & function testing for SCBAs. We have AVON, Draeger, and MSA certified technicians and use a Posichek3 SCBA tester for our flow testing. Once we have conducted the annual service, each system will be flow tested using the Posichek3 SCBA tester. If the system fails any of the tests, we will trouble shoot the system to identify the cause of the test failure. Should repairs be required, our technician will manage the repair process and ensure the system is operating within specifications. If the damaged part/item is not under warranty, an estimate of the cost to repair the unit will be provided for customer approval.
All repair information and test data is entered into our Critical Asset Manager, ReadiTrak™. Using ReadiTrak™, customers receive the added benefit of being able to track the annual service and any potential repairs throughout the process. Gone are the days when you send a SCBA in for service and wait until it appears back on your doorstep.
